Rincon Gold Premium Albacore Tuna & Smoked Albacore Tuna
Rincon Gold uses Albacore that are caught in the cold waters of the Northern Pacific Ocean. The fish are flash frozen on the boat, hand filleted and trimmed. Only a solid piece of center-cut loin is canned, without the addition of oil or water. If you have only tased canned tuna from one of the major brands, you will, no doubt, love the taste of Rincon Gold Tuna. There is no fishy taste or smell, no chemicals and no additives. Enviornmentalists are calling Rincon Gold Tuna the “organic albacore of the sea”. Our fish are cooked in the can only once to perserve the valuable Omega-3 Fatty Acids. Rincon Gold Tuna has 4 times the Omega-3 oils as compared to the major brands.

There is virtually no mercury in Rincon Gold products and in some instances no traces of mercury can be found. Testing on our products have shown results of mercury in the range from Zero to 0.14ppm. This is approximately 10 times lower than the 1.00ppm which is set by the Food and Drug Administration.

How is this Possible? It has to do with where our fish are caught and how big they are. Rincon Gold only catches fish in the cold Northern Pacific that weigh 10-20 pounds. Major tuna brands prefer much larger fish ranging from 40 to 70 pounds and caught in warmer waters where higher mercury content is found.
